My first attempt at a brayered sunset! I think I like it!!

Brayered whisper white with Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. Overstamped with Wonderful You leaves and flower in Chocolate Chip. Riding Hood Red base stamped with same stamps with Versamark. Sentiment mounted on leftover brayered CS (but colors turned around), stamped with Thanks so much from Sincere Salutations. Pumpkin eyelets attached to strip of Chocolate Chip CS. Card front then mounted on Chocolate Chip CS. This was originally going to be on the Riding Hood Red, but I messed up the background and had to move the elements to a whole new card. I hate when that happens! That’s what I get for needing to do just ‘one more thing’. ;-)

For the brayering, I used half Tangerine Tango, half Riding Hood Red. (see pics below)

I first inked half of my brayer Tangerine Tango.

I then inked the other half in Red Riding Hood, being sure to overlap.

Using a piece of computer paper, I rolled off some of the ink.

On a piece of Whisper White, larger than what I need for my card, I went across the entire length of CS.

Because of some “production issues” (i.e. setting the brayer down – ink side down on the paper, and trying to run the brayer WHILE I was taking a picture) – this came out more uneven than I would have liked. No worries, though! This is why I made sure my piece of Whisper White was bigger than what I needed!

I trim down what I need and stamp it.

As for the leftovers, I can either use them on another card, or on the same card, as I did above.

Enjoy!

I needed an enclosure card..but I didn’t want to spend a ton of time on it. Here’s what I came up with:

A 3×3 card on Pink Pirouette CS, stamped with little flower from Baroque Motifs in white craft ink. Sentiment from Lots of Thoughts, stamped in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and punched with 1 3/8″ circle punch. Layered with Scallop punched Pink Pirouette and rectangular Chocolate Chip, decorated with white gel pen dots (the dots don’t look so great in super-zoom..lol). White grosgrain ribbon.

I just love Pink Pirouette with Chocolate Chip and white. This is my second card in the past week using these colors!

The thing that took the longest was waiting for the white ink to dry! Super-easy, but I think it’s super-cute!

Back to running amok….

To celebrate Stampin’ Ups birthday month and promotion, I brought out Crab & Company and gave it an In Color flair. This is one of the sets you can get for 20% off with any $20 purchase this month!

I just love these colors together!

Here are the details:

Base is Riding Hood Red, stamped background images in same color. Crab layers are Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper White. Crab is stamped in Basic Black, colored with blender pen, using RHR ink. Claws are cut out, popped up on dimensionals. Cake and gift are (painstakingly) cut out. Cake was stamped on Tangerine Tango with Basic Black, embellished with white gel pen and glitter. Cake also colored/glittered. Crab was covered with Crystal Effects. Background was sponged Baja Breeze (sky), Close to Cocoa (sand) – very lightly.

Sentiment in Basic Black on Baja Breeze, mounted on Tangerine Tango, which is pierced. Whole thing on adimensional.

Twill tape to jazz it up.

Back to the stampin’ room…I have the house to myself today. Time to run amok! ;-)

Enjoy your day!
