This is a synergy of “make your own DSP” and “make your own embellishments”…one of the things that happens when you don’t have what you want, so you make what you need! 😉
The “metal” embellishment is actually made from embossing powder and one the snowflakes from “Snow Swirled”! Thanks to Kristina Werner (and her tutorial at Two Peas in a Bucket ) for the wonderful video tutorial! She’s the best!!
The “DSP” part is simply taking the snowflakes from Snow Swirled and stamping them on Whisper White CS in both Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze. A scallop-edged piece of Riding Hood Red CS (accented by paper piercing), with some Baja Breeze Striped ribbon serve as a backdrop for the “embellishment”. Sentiment is also from Snow Swirled.
I really love this technique! Although it’s a little time-consuming, the results are worth it! I saved some time by using the technique on a larger piece of CS, then cutting it up before embossing the image into the EP. It worked really well and I now have more “embellishments” in assorted sizes and shapes for other cards.
