New Product Alert…and a new Stampin’ Up! Special…

A new month brings two new promotions!

First of all, check out this adorable cookie press!

I have seen the cookies made with this in person (demonstrators have the opportunity to pre-order new items – another perk of being a demonstrator!). They are large, and gorgeous!

The other exciting special features our Simply Sent kits. If you are not familiar with these kits, you should  be! Great for the beginning stamper, or crafter on-the-go! Each kit comes with everything you need to create 8 gorgeous cards. They are pre-cut, pre-punched – all you do is stamp a sentiment and assemble! Could not be more simple! This month, buy two kits – get a coordinating 2-stamp set FREE (a $9-10 value!)

Call me – or order online today! This is a great deal!

It’s here! The 2011-12 Holiday Mini!!

And you are going to LOVE it!

This has to be, hands-down, one of the BEST minis I’ve ever seen!

Top picks (this is hard…I really love it all!)

1. Simply Scored Scoring Tool (item 122334, $29.95) – this is the BEST I have ever used! It comes with a stylus, markers (to help space your scores), and a storage compartment. The scoring is smooth – effortless. You are going to love this!

2. It’s a Wrap Holidays Stamp Set (item 122770 (wood) or  122772 (clear)) – great for making custom-wrapped treats for any holiday!

3. Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (item 124066, $9.95) – This paper is NOT just for fall! Gorgeous patterns!! There is not a pattern in this pack I don’t like!

4. Mica Flakes (item 124115, $4.95) – this comes in a BIG jar. Great for creating a snowy effect on Holiday/winter  cards.

5. Frostwood Lodge Suite – yes, the whole suite is SWEET! The Designer Series Paper (124002), the Quilted Ribbon (item 124105), the mini Jingle Bells (item 124116 – they really jingle!), and the Christmas Lodge stamp set (item 123767, wood or 123769, clear) are just perfect for that homey, holiday feel to your cards and scrapbook pages.

6. Stocking Builder Punch is great to make little stockings, complete with separate cuff, toe,  and heel pieces. (item 124005, $16.95) It has its own coordinating stamp set – perfect!

7. Dazzling Details (item 124117) – love glitter, but hate the mess? How about something to give the same effect, all from a handy little squeeze bottle! No mess – just plenty of sparkle, right where you want it.

8. Glimmer Paper in SILVER! (item 124005) If you tried the glimmer paper in red and fell in love, prepare to fall head-over-heels! This is soooo shiny and sparkly. I think I like it better than the red! Just get it – you won’t be disappointed.

9. Shaker Frames (item 124155) – these handy foam rings come 36 to a pack, in sizes that coordinate with our circle punches. Fantastic with our Window Sheets and Mica Flakes (see above!)

10. 1″ Square Punch – finally! (item 124094) – great for layering with the 1 3/8″ punch. Coordinates with the 25 and Counting set – but also great if you have the Halloween or Christmas Bingo sets! This is a staple for any papercrafter!!

There you have it….really, the whole catalog is incredible. As a demonstrator, I was lucky enough to be able to pre-order many of these items in August. I have been playing with them all and love all these items even more than when I first got my orders. I will be posting cards and projects featuring these items.

Order today! Go to and select “Holiday Mini” – and you can order from the comfort of your computer!

Back to Blogging!

I’m back and ready to share! Check out my new blog header for a sneak peek at two of the upcoming In Colors from the 2011-12 Idea Book & Catalog, which will be coming out August 1st! The blue in the header is called Pool Party – a great aqua blue. The coral is called Calypso Coral and is to die for! Two of my favorites!

This week, I will be featuring sneak peeks of not only the new IN Colors – but upcoming stamp sets, too!

Watch for exciting updates, new cards and projects, and more!

It’s good to be back! 🙂

Live, Laugh, CASE!…

This is another design we made at last weekend’s Stamp-a-Stack. Credit for this almost entirely goes to Carrie Gaskin over at Artistic Avenger. While I changed the orientation and details, the colors, the tag are all hers. (Thanks, Carrie!)

The gals loved this color combination! Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Tangerine Tango make this a great gender-neutral card (great for a kids card, too!) The sentiment is from the stamp set On Your Birthday. The stars were punched using the star punches (on some of the cards, we used large stars, or punched out the small star from a large star, for an outline effect!) 5/8″ Chocolate Chip grosgrain, the 1 inch circle punch, and a brad make the top of the “tag”.

Thanks again to all who attended – we had a blast!

Pink Daisies…

This was another card we made at the Stamp-a-Stack last weekend.

This was done using a brayer, inked up in half Regal Rose and half So Saffron. Brayer over the stamp in one direction, then another. Just stamp and VOILA! Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Whisper White card stock, the sentiment in Chocolate Chip, with some Chocolate Chip grosgrain make for a simple card! The gals had a lot of fun with the brayer!

I also have a pic of some lilacs I picked from my gigantic lilac bush last weekend (if you look closely, you can also see them peeking out behind the cards I’ve posted recently).

Sadly, they are all gone now. However, for the two weeks they were in bloom, they smelled heavenly!

Happy Mother’s Day!

This was a “bonus card” I had the ladies make at my Stamp-a-Stack this weekend. They absolutely LOVED it! Thanks to Dawn Griffith for the awesome video tutorial and measurements of Stephanie’s original design. I was pretty faithful to Dawn’s directions, with the exception of making the pot from Really Rust instead of Close to Cocoa. I think it gives it more of a terra cotta feel!

Card Stock: Really Rust, Certainly Celery, Almost Amythest, Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Whisper White (on insert)

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip (on inside sentiment)

Accessories: Baroque Borders standard wheel, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Five Petal punch, TrioFlower punch, Signo white gel pen, dimensionals

Here is another variation of the same card. This one follows Dawn’s instructions, with the exception of the sentiment on the outside of the card:

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!

Fifth Avenue Watercolor…

This card sort of evolved from wanting to do something with my Aquapainter (and something different with Fifth Ave. Floral).

This one uses Stampin’ Up! Watercolor paper (it’s wonderful to work with!), with an image from Fifth Avenue Floral stamped in Jet Black Staz-On. The coloring was done with my Aquapainter and a variety of inks (pulled from the lids of the ink pads). Because of the shading and layering of color, I couldn’t even tell you all the colors I used. The watercolored panel was mounted onto Old Olive and Regal Rose card stock, that was edge distressed with my craft scissors (then pushed a little bit with my bone folder and fingernail). Chocolate Chip grosgrain dresses it up. That was mounted onto Chocolate Chip card stock and finished with a rub-on sentiment from the Chit Chat rub-ons collection.

Thanks for all that have shown concern (and patience) with my lack of recent postings. I’ve had one thing after another! I spent my entire spring break writing the summer school curriculum for math. Literally, eight hours a day! I’ve also had a conference that I went to, workshops/classes, and now my daughter is home for her spring break and my stamp room does double-duty as her bedroom when she’s home!

One of these days things will settle down! I’m hoping to sneak in there in a few minutes (she is out for the afternoon) and whip something up. That is, after I move all of her “stuff” she brought home for the week, which has taken over my craft table! 😉

Don’t forget – Sale-a-Bration is almost over! Order through my web site, or call me to get your order in. Remember, for every $50 you spend, you get a FREE Sale-a-Bration product! If you are interested in becoming a demonstrator, Sale-a-Bration is an AWESOME time to sign up. You get 15% off the Starter Kit, a FREE stamp set of your choice (up to $47.95), AND now, you can split the cost of your Starter Kit into THREE payments!
