Have I mentioned how much I love the new Holiday Mini Catalog? I’ve been so busy playing with all the new “stuff”, I haven’t posted!
This card features the yummy new Spice Cake Designer Series paper. I’m not one to normally get really excited about DSP. In fact, I make a lot of cards that don’t use any of it. However, this paper is gorgeous! It features one of my favorite IN Colors ever – Pool Party! Along with More Mustard and Soft Suede. What’s funny is that my normal “go-to colors” do not include More Mustard or Soft Suede – but I LOVE them with this paper! This paper is definitely not just for fall! The patterns are lovely and make for beautiful cards, any time of the year.
Want to make this card? Attend one of my September stamp camps where this will be one of the projects! Email me for details.

I’ve gotten some emails asking about the puppies. They will be three weeks old tomorrow. Their eyes are open, they are toddling around (from what I’ve read, they will reach their regular gait by four weeks old). A couple of them are starting to imitate mom at the food bowl (though they are no where near ready for solid foods…they don’t have teeth yet!) They are so stinkin’ cute. However, with their toddling around, they are already getting into trouble. Yesterday, I went downstairs to check on them and five of them were out of the box, walking around (well, in their shaky, stiff-legged way)! We did buy one of those octagonal pens (you can actually make it into almost any shape, since each panel is hinged) – and we set that up around the box. Anyway – here are some pics, taken over the past few days…CUTENESS OVERLOAD WARNING! 😉
If that looks like a really fancy whelping box rug, it’s because it is…that *was* myvery expensive hand-tufted wool rug that used to sit in front of our fireplace hearth. However, about a week after purchasing it, a puppy that shall remain nameless (**coughSadiecough**) chewed one corner and edge to bits. So, while I did keep the rug in front of the fireplace for a while (I didn’t want to risk getting a new one that would get chewed up, too!) – it has been relegated to the to puppy box, where it keeps them warm and snuggy, with a definitive decorative flair! lol
We have PUPPIES!
Our dog Sadie gave birth to 7 puppies this week! They are precious. Sadie is a great mom, too.
How cute are they? I just want to give their little bellies zerberts!! We have 4 black and 3 yellow. Amazingly, there are 5 females and only 2 males (two of the four black ones are male – the yellows are all female). All are healthy and seem to be thriving.
Between puppies, work, being sick, and getting ready for Christmas, my stampin’ time is almost zero. I’m hoping ot sneak into my stamping room tomorrow. Even though I’ve been doing Stamp-a-Stacks, etc, MY Christmas cards are not even done! How ironic is that? I’ll get them done…people might not get them until Christmas Eve, but I’ll get ’em done! 😉
To add on to everything else I have going on, I’ve been fighting a cold. ::achoo:: I’m hoping to post soon – at least when I’m sure I won’t sneeze on my project! 😉 (picturing embossing powder or glitter everywhere! eek!!)
I’m hoping to get something posted over the weekend. I have lots of things swimming in my head (besides germs) – so I’m hoping to get something put together for you soon!
A sweet little 4×4 card I received from Kath over at All That Scrap…isn’t it pretty? I just love the dimension she achieved using punches and layering. Of course, that sparkle in the center adds just the right touch!
When I chose the title “Blogging Jenn”…it was meant to encompass the many different aspects of my life and personality. As a mom, a wife, a teacher, a stamper/scrapbooker, current events fan, cancer survivor…and whatever else my life includes from day-to-day.
Seriously, I know this is not a hot-spot for internet traffic. However, if you did accidently land on my little corner of the web, welcome and thanks for reading this far! 🙂
