It’s here! The 2011-12 Holiday Mini!!

And you are going to LOVE it!

This has to be, hands-down, one of the BEST minis I’ve ever seen!

Top picks (this is hard…I really love it all!)

1. Simply Scored Scoring Tool (item 122334, $29.95) – this is the BEST I have ever used! It comes with a stylus, markers (to help space your scores), and a storage compartment. The scoring is smooth – effortless. You are going to love this!

2. It’s a Wrap Holidays Stamp Set (item 122770 (wood) or  122772 (clear)) – great for making custom-wrapped treats for any holiday!

3. Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (item 124066, $9.95) – This paper is NOT just for fall! Gorgeous patterns!! There is not a pattern in this pack I don’t like!

4. Mica Flakes (item 124115, $4.95) – this comes in a BIG jar. Great for creating a snowy effect on Holiday/winter  cards.

5. Frostwood Lodge Suite – yes, the whole suite is SWEET! The Designer Series Paper (124002), the Quilted Ribbon (item 124105), the mini Jingle Bells (item 124116 – they really jingle!), and the Christmas Lodge stamp set (item 123767, wood or 123769, clear) are just perfect for that homey, holiday feel to your cards and scrapbook pages.

6. Stocking Builder Punch is great to make little stockings, complete with separate cuff, toe,  and heel pieces. (item 124005, $16.95) It has its own coordinating stamp set – perfect!

7. Dazzling Details (item 124117) – love glitter, but hate the mess? How about something to give the same effect, all from a handy little squeeze bottle! No mess – just plenty of sparkle, right where you want it.

8. Glimmer Paper in SILVER! (item 124005) If you tried the glimmer paper in red and fell in love, prepare to fall head-over-heels! This is soooo shiny and sparkly. I think I like it better than the red! Just get it – you won’t be disappointed.

9. Shaker Frames (item 124155) – these handy foam rings come 36 to a pack, in sizes that coordinate with our circle punches. Fantastic with our Window Sheets and Mica Flakes (see above!)

10. 1″ Square Punch – finally! (item 124094) – great for layering with the 1 3/8″ punch. Coordinates with the 25 and Counting set – but also great if you have the Halloween or Christmas Bingo sets! This is a staple for any papercrafter!!

There you have it….really, the whole catalog is incredible. As a demonstrator, I was lucky enough to be able to pre-order many of these items in August. I have been playing with them all and love all these items even more than when I first got my orders. I will be posting cards and projects featuring these items.

Order today! Go to jennifermaloney.stampinup.net and select “Holiday Mini” – and you can order from the comfort of your computer!

Enjoy!

Wisteria Wonder, My Friend…

Continuing my love affair with the new IN colors – this card uses three of my favorites! (Who am I kidding – I LOVE them all!!)  Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Wisteria Wonder deliver a beautiful combo in this simple Thank You card.

The My Friend stamp set is a MUST have, in my opinion! How versatile this set is! The leaves and the teardrops (on the Pool Party layer) both come from this set. The leaves were dressed up with a random sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The sentiment is from the set Curly Cute (item 117014/Wood, 120510, Clear). This 5 piece sentiment set has you covered for every occasion! Love it!

Some sponging, corner rounding, and layering the sentiment on dimensionals with the Modern Label punch and Large Oval punch complete this card.

Reminder – the buy THREE, get one FREE Designer Series Paper special ends Wednesday, 8/31. Stock up on some gorgeous paper!

Enjoy!

Sneak Peek #3….Pink Doily Birthday

This feminine birthday card uses several “sneak peek” items from the new Idea Book & Catalog, coming out July 1st!

Let’s start with the background stamp set…it’s called “Delicate Doilies” and features just that – a variety of doily-like designs. I stamped the doilies onto Melon Mambo base with Versamark.  The sentiment is from the new Hostess Set called “Happiest Birthday Wishes”, which was stamped in Melon Mambo and punched with the Modern Label punch.  I know I’ve mentioned this set previously – but I just love the versatility of this 11 piece set. Definitely a go-to set for me!

The sentiment is layered over a piece of from Specialty Designer Series Paper pack called “Flirtatious”. This paper coordinates SO well with the Delicate Doilies set. It has Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, and the brand-new IN Color Wisteria Wonder.

Down the left side is a piece punched out with the new Lace Ribbon Border punch. Love, love, love this punch!! I wove some 1/4″ Whisper White grosgrain ribbon into it and adorned it (and the center of some of the doilies on the paper) with Rhinestone Jewels.

The inside was stamped with another sentiment from “Happiest Birthday Wishes” in Basic Grey. Another Delicate Doily stamp in Melon Mambo dresses up the inside….

The Whisper White envelope also got dressed up, as you can see!

I hope you are as excited about the new catalog items as I am! The new catalog is GORGEOUS! I will have more sneak peeks in the coming days, so keep checking back!!

Enjoy!

Pink Daisies…

This was another card we made at the Stamp-a-Stack last weekend.

pink_daisies

This was done using a brayer, inked up in half Regal Rose and half So Saffron. Brayer over the stamp in one direction, then another. Just stamp and VOILA! Regal Rose, So Saffron, and Whisper White card stock, the sentiment in Chocolate Chip, with some Chocolate Chip grosgrain make for a simple card! The gals had a lot of fun with the brayer!

I also have a pic of some lilacs I picked from my gigantic lilac bush last weekend (if you look closely, you can also see them peeking out behind the cards I’ve posted recently).

lilacs

Sadly, they are all gone now. However, for the two weeks they were in bloom, they smelled heavenly!

Enjoy!

Happy Mother’s Day!

This was a “bonus card” I had the ladies make at my Stamp-a-Stack this weekend. They absolutely LOVED it! Thanks to Dawn Griffith for the awesome video tutorial and measurements of Stephanie’s original design. I was pretty faithful to Dawn’s directions, with the exception of making the pot from Really Rust instead of Close to Cocoa. I think it gives it more of a terra cotta feel!

Supplies:

Card Stock: Really Rust, Certainly Celery, Almost Amythest, Regal Rose, Bashful Blue, Whisper White (on insert)

Ink: Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip (on inside sentiment)

Accessories: Baroque Borders standard wheel, Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, Five Petal punch, TrioFlower punch, Signo white gel pen, dimensionals

Here is another variation of the same card. This one follows Dawn’s instructions, with the exception of the sentiment on the outside of the card:
